CHARACTERISTICS

It is early variety with high quality fruit. It fills the gap on the sweet cherry market after gather of Burlat and Kassandra.

ORIGIN

The Czech Republic, Vega - free pollination.

GROWTH

Strong. The crown is moderately thickened, the branches tend to hang.

BLOSSOM / POLINATORS

It blooms late as the only one of the early varieties - which gives it a better chance in frosty years. Pollinators: Sylvana, Vanda. It can be attacked by Monila laxa, but rarely.

GATHER

The 3rd cherry week - about 5-6 days after Burlat.

FRUIT

Large, 9-11 g, heart-shaped, with a distinct tip, dark red, then black, sweet, slightly spicy. The flesh is quite firm, the cracking is very limited - sometimes in the form of a little line near scyphulus. It has a large pit.  The stem is medium in length. 

USEFULNESS

It is a valuable early variety, complementary to the 2nd week varieties. It fruits well on Colt, but a year or two later than Kassandra. It is valuable due to late blooming, moderate cracking and high quality and tasty fruit.
