It is the earliest, valuable variety with good quality fruit that meets the trade requirements.
Hungary, Truszenskaja x H2
Not very strong. The trees form spherical, well branched crowns.
It blooms very early, so spring frosts can limit its fruiting. Pollinators: Van, Burlat, Vera, Aida. It can be attacked by Monilia laxa.
The 1st cherry week, 8-10 days before Burlat.
Medium size, 6-8 g, shiny, red with mahogany shade. The shape is conical with blunt tip. The fruit has sweet-sour taste, good yield and good firmness. Cracking is possible.
It is a variety that opens the market of early sweet cherries with an attractive appearance and taste, having commercial values similar to Burlat. The size of the fruit can be matched to Burlat with proper cutting and agrotechnics. As for other early varieties, frosts and birds may be a problem - however, it is rarely attacked with Rhagoletis cerasi.
